"Windmill House" forms part of an extensive health, leisure and residential development which includes a health clinic, doctors' surgery and high quality housing. A lesiure centre and further residential and sheltered housing is planned.

Access to "Windmill House" is excellent; close to the main A917 between Kirkcaldy (40 minutes by car) and St Andrews (20 minutes by car), it is served by the main bus route between Glasgow and Dundee and the local bus service stops at the entrance to the private road. There are also regular train services between Edinburgh and Leuchars (St Andrews).
