Windmill House is built on two floors with lift access, offering comfortable accommodation in 39 spacious individual rooms, all with en-suite facilities and some rooms interconnecting for couples. All the rooms have views of the gardens or open countryside and the upper floor rooms facing south have views over Cellardyke to the shores of East Lothian.
Every room is built to the latest standards and is designed with ease of access, mobility and security as priorities. Each room is tastefully furnished but residents may also furnish and decorate their room with items of their own as they wish. All rooms have telephone and television connections, fire alarm and nurse call points.
There are three “assisted” bathrooms (two with air-spa baths) and two assisted shower rooms. There is a hairdressing salon and chiropody and physiotherapy services are available.
Residents have a choice of two dining rooms and three lounges, one of which is a “quiet room” with internet and “Skype” connections to enable residents to have video calls free of charge to their families and friends. All overlook the water feature and the south garden.
Our dedicated dementia wing, which has been designed to the latest standards, has a private lounge and helps our clients to feel as much “at home” as possible.
